Sibling love | Portland family photography
They light up my world. Watching them grow up together as friends makes my heart so happy, and being able to capture the love between them puts a smile on my face.
Looking through the many pictures I’ve taken for my kids through the years I am always drawn to the lifestyle shots, the ones brimming with emotion and connection. I’ve done the traditional head shots where they look at the camera and say cheese, but those are not memories, they are just portraits. Instead, an image of my daughter peering through the lens and into my soul, or an image of two sisters embracing will probably be the image bringing me to tears years from now, when the kids are grown up and my nest is empty.
I am grateful to be able to take a photography class teaching me the art of emotion and connection in lifestyle photography, and I am excited to start incorporating this style into my sessions! And lucky me, I have four perfect little subject to practice on in the meantime!
So true! I love these moments in-between the “cheese” faces. Beautiful!
